Ministry of Culture to Take Legal Action over the Demolition of 3 Ancient Buildings in Wat Ounalom

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will take legal action against the demolition of three ancient buildings in Wat Ounalom and will not give permits for any new construction.

According to the announcement dated December 21, 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts said that in the case of the demolition of these three ancient buildings to the point of completely losing their original structure, the Ministry will cooperate with the relevant authorities to resolve the situation in accordance with the law.
